There are just 5 more days left of our Summer Camp ticket giveaway. If you haven't entered, visit our shop in suburban Mt. Prospect and fill out an entry blank by April 30th. On May 1st , we will pick one name and that person will win 2 tickets to the 2008 Summer Camp Festival Memorial Day weekend, featuring Moe., Umphrey's McGee, The Flaming Lips, O.A.R., The Roots, STS9, and many many more great bands.

This Sunday is 4/20 and in honor of this day, we are giving away free rolling papers while supplies last, starting at 12 noon at our store in Mt. Prospect, IL. You must be at least 18 and have a drivers license or state ID.

Record Store Day Giveaways

ON SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 2008, HUNDREDS OF
INDEPENDENTLY-OWNED MUSIC STORES ACROSS THE
COUNTRY WILL CELEBRATE “RECORD STORE DAY.”

On this day, all of these stores will simultaneously link and act as one with the purpose of celebrating the culture and unique place that they occupy both in their local communities and nationally.

Sunshine Daydream Chicago will be participating in this event with sale prices throughout the store and giveaways as well. The record companies have sent us CD samplers, Record samplers, and lots more to be given away on "Record Store Day".

We have also begun to add some more records (some new, some used) to our store inventory for all you vinyl hounds. After all, it is called "Record" store day, so you should be able to buy some records.

So, come check it out this Saturday, April 19th from 11am - 6pm. Store wide sale prices and giveaways are good on this day only.

Umphrey's McGee & Sound Tribe Ticket Giveaway

Charter One Pavilion - Chicago, July 19th (?)

We just got word from our inside source that Umphrey's McGee & STS9 are embarking on a summer tour together and will make a Chicago stop at Charter One Pavilion Northernly Island in July, probably the 19th. Also, look for a possible late night show with one or both bands to be announced.

All String Cheese Incident On the Road CD Volumes are on sale for only $18.99 each (regularly priced up to $25 each). We have shows from 2002, 2006, and 2007, including the final shows at Red Rocks. We don't have many of each and when they are gone, they're gone! Our green light special ends on April 20th. So, come on down to our shop in suburban Chicago and stock up on some live cheese.
